Biography


Denis Carbone is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, entrepreneur, and passionate vegan animal rights activist, known for his bold and immersive visual narratives across feature films, advertising, and music videos.


Born in 1984 in Paris, raised in Montevideo, and later residing in Germany, Denis has lived across continents before his journey took him around the world, now shaping his creative vision in Tokyo.


As an entrepreneur, Denis owns several companies in film production, advertising, and app development—where his platforms reach millions of users worldwide. Since 2004, he has worked independently as a director, cinematographer, visual effects artist, and photographer.


He earned a Master’s Degree in Design from the University of Art and Design in Offenbach, specializing in Film and Photography, and further honed his skills in Cinematography at Tongji University in Shanghai.


With over 150 films to his name, his work has received awards and been showcased at major international film festivals and aired on television worldwide. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, German, and French, has a strong command of Mandarin, and is currently learning Japanese to deepen his connection with the culture around him.


A true global traveler, Denis carries his camera wherever he goes, capturing the world through his lens while also composing music. He challenges perspectives, questions ethical norms, and pushes creative boundaries. Despite winning as many Oscars as Johnny Depp, Denis was named Time Magazine’s "Person of the Year" in 2006.
